THREE HD ANNOUNCES LAUNCH OF BIKEFARMER.COM AND RIVERCITYBIKES.COM

(PRWEB) October 12, 2001

Three HD today announced the launch of BikeFarmer.com and RiverCityBikes.com, online extensions of two of the Southeast’s leading bike shops. The online stores showcase a full line of bicycles from Litespeed, Specialized and Santa Cruz, along with apparel, accessories and components. The two websites also feature maintenance tips, trail information and event listings.

“My goal was to create a one-stop shop for the cyclist, with information as well as a full selection of gear,” said Bill Dominici, owner of River City Bicycles and Fat Tire Farm. “The current sites offer just a sampling of what we will be offering in the upcoming months, when many new products will be released. Both sites will be constantly evolving, with more information added on a regular basis.” The websites are fresh, exciting and distinctly different. “BikeFarmer.com caters to a younger market — mountain bikers and recreational bikers – so the design is edgier, funkier and more fun,” said Three HD’s design director, Michael Hendrix. “RiverCityBikes.com’s customers are diehard, semi-professional and professional cyclists, which is reflected in the clean, streamlined design.”

Many unique new features are in the works for both websites. Coming soon to BikeFarmer.com is a “Custom Bike Generator,” which will allow visitors to choose from a wide variety of frames and components to build their own bikes online. In addition, both sites will soon unveil online cycling communities where customers can build their own web pages, track order history, keep a training log and upload pictures of their bikes. “The site reflects our commitment to quality and a professional presence,” said Dominici. “We’re really pleased with the finished product.”

Bike Farmer (A.K.A. Fat Tire Farm) is a full service bike shop in Ocoee, TN. The store features area maps, trail information and a knowledgeable staff to help cyclists enjoy the region’s mountain biking trails. The service department offers last-minute repairs, tune-ups and upgrades. Bike Farmer staffers are experts in shock maintenance and tuning. Bike Farmer carries full lines of mountain bikes from Litespeed, Specialized and Santa Cruz, as well as clothing, socks, accessories and components.

Chattanooga’s River City Bicycles is the Southeast’s leading bike shop, offering several lines of recreational to professional road, tri, mountain and BMX bikes. The shop specializes in custom pro frames built to fit the rider. In addition to providing the nation’s largest volume of hand-built Litespeed bicycles, River City Bicycles offers Quintana Roo, Colonago, Tomac, Merlin, Gary Fisher, Lemond, Specialized, Raleigh, Aegis and GT BMX bikes. The shop also offers an array of cycling accessories, clothing, components and Thule car rack systems. River City Bicycles sponsors Krystal and Krystal Chik semi-pro teams and the River City Litespeed amateur cycling team. River City Bicycles also supports the cycling community with an inner-city youth program and clinics on safety and maintenance.

Since 1996, Three HD has specialized in developing comprehensive business solutions and marketing services utilizing graphic design, Internet technology and multimedia. The firm works in multiple industries and holds national and international awards for technical and design excellence.
