An Irish reporter went on to say, that when watching the replay of the goal, it looked a blatant handball. Henry wouldn’t back down and reitterated that it was an accident….
There has been outrage in the world of football this morning following last nights contentious goal decision which saw Ireland fail to qualify for the world cup in South Africa. France will progress because of the serious oversighting by match officials which in this modern age of football should be unacceptable.
We now need to ask the question – is this not another example of how video evidence during a game could rectify this problem in seconds
