Montpellier located in the south of France, along the Mediterranean Coast, is a medium sized city that’s a great place to visit due to it’s eclectic combo of old meets new. Montpellier is the capitol of the Languedoc region of France. This fabulous city is home to one of the oldest universities in Europe and many famous figures from Europe’s history books have studied at the University of Montpellier University.

Today, Montpellier is a mix of locals who go about their day to day activities along side University students (from many locals on the planet) and tourists. Some of the oldest architecture in France can be found in Montpellier and the city didn’t become part of the French court until 1349 when the city was sold to the French King: Philip VI.
